TO COMPETE

PAY FOR YOUR ENTRY : FIND A REGIONAL LINK TO COMPETE IN ONE/ALL OF THE UPCOMING EVENTS
BE PREPARED FOR INTAKE : PRE-WEIGH EVERYTHING, ALWAYS THE WEEKEND BEFORE THE AWARD SHOW

  • CONCENTRATE : 20 GRAMS (50 samples = 0.3g each / 5 samples = 1.0g each)
  • FLOWER : 60 GRAMS (30 samples - 2.0g each)
  • EDIBLES : 30 SAMPLES (30 servings the size of your choosing - openly branded)

DETAILED DESCRIPTION:  You must visit the eventbrite page for the desired location you wish to compete in, and you must purchase a competitors spot.  All Competitors must submit their samples previously weighed and packaged, or be prepared to do so at the time of drop off for intake.  There are specific instructions as to what will be acceptable and the exact details in regard to the size of the samples and total weight to be supplied.

THE RULES FOR THE COMPETITION

COMPETITOR ENTRY DETAILS - PLEASE READ EVERYTHING

This is so that competitors can pay their fee and lock in their spot for the competition. You can only purchase one entry per email address, one entry per group. As many hash makers as you want can work on a single entry, but no single hashmaker can have worked on more than one entry.

Our contest is different because the competitors are the judges.  This means that we cannot have any competitor with knowledge of any other entry.  Our contest is about transparency, so the way you score people individually will be made public.  For example: if you and a buddy both enter and decide to give each other all tens and give everyone else 1's and 2's it will be made apparent to everyone when your scores are published and your reputation will be hurt because you will have acted dishonorably.  This has happened.  We encourage you to be fair, the entire concept of the event only works if you are legitimate about your scoring.  If you vote someone all 1's or something similar to send a message you are not being fair equally as much as if you vote someone all 10's because they are your friend or you made an alliance. (Any votes that seem strange either way will be questioned and potentially raised/dropped to all 5s on a case by case basis with the possibility of being disqualified and ultimately even banned from competing)

In order to preserve fairness the vote you cast for yourself is eliminated.

SAMPLE SIZES:

Your concentrate entry must be 20 grams total packaged as follows:
50 samples that weigh 0.3 grams & 5 samples that weigh 1.0 grams

WE HAVE UPDATED THE PACKAGING TO BETTER ACCOMMODATE.  Sap, Budder, water hash, and dry sift can all go directly into the same black top glass jars we have always used, link below.  For shatter you are required to put your entry in square WHITE parchment folds that are not easily identifiable, we suggest 4" x 4" standard squares.  These samples in parchment will then also be required to go into standard size business card envelopes, link also below. 

The additional 5 samples that weigh 1.0 grams can be packaged as you wish.  We'd recommend parchment in envelopes for shatter, and the glass jars work fine for anything else.

Your flower entry must be 60 grams and packaged as follows:
30 samples that weigh 2.0 grams

Your edible entry can be in any size and packaged as follows:
30 samples (any size) with packaging, branding and labeling

One sample per package.  Strength must be labeled in milligrams.  All other branding/packaging is acceptable and can be as open & detailed as chosen by the competitor.  Edibles will have portions of the judging that are based on your branding, packaging and labeling as well as the physical characteristics of your entry..

ALL COMMUNICATION/NEWS/ANNOUNCEMENTS WILL BE THROUGH EMAIL. CHECK YOUR EMAIL. READ EVERYTHING WE SEND YOU CAREFULLY.

Scoring is done online and the winner is picked by the voting program. You are required to vote or you forfeit your chance to finish in the top three.

TO BECOME A part of the event FOR entertainment as an artist, VENDOR or SPONSOR

You must visit the eventbrite page for VENDORS & SPONSORS for the desired location you wish to participate, and you must purchase a vending booth or one of the sponsorship options.  Food&Beverage vendors should also purchase a booth but should let us know via email what kind of food/beverages to plan to vend if they are concerned with other options available.

Please be aware we do three very different type of events, some are very small and exclusive vacation or camping style events while others are more public and offer vending booths, make sure you read the detailed descriptions in How We Are Different as well as Upcoming Events before you make your final decision to become a vendor or sponsor as there are NO REFUNDS!
